He further clarified that the signal was entirely unintentional, occurring amid the elation following the team’s final touchdown. “I just showed the wrong finger,” he remarked. “The action was inadvertently performed. I’m not kidding. Should you call it unplanned, you can. But it got corrected rapidly.”

This incident isn’t the initial instance an NFL owner has been fined for inappropriate behavior. Previous cases include:
- Panthers proprietor Tepper was fined $300,000 for throwing a drink at fans in early 2024.
